Summer Jobs Service
For Employers Hiring Summer Students
The Summer Jobs Service, for 15 to 30 year old students who are returning to school in the fall, runs from April to the end of summer each year. Students must first register in the Summer Jobs Service at AYCE.
Benefits to Employers
- The Summer Jobs Service provides employers with a $2 per hour wage-subsidy for hiring students during the summer months.
- Employers have the option of recruiting their own summer students or selecting from pre-screened applicants provided by AYCE.
Employer Eligibility
- Employers must maintain appropriate WSIB or alternate workplace safety insurance coverage.
- Employers must have adequate third party liability insurance.
